Tribal Empowerment Programme

VRDP with its high concern entail itself in tribal empowerment and the raise the voice against the atrocities against tribal. In 1987 it starts its work in Kadayampatti block were the high caste community has its full clutch of tribal in their resources, untouchables and the atrocities on women. VRDP had began with the literacy classes and then formed the groups and now the people had formed as an immense federation associated with 7225 tribal members from 3 districts hold the banner of Thamilaza Adivasi Iyakkam(TAI- Tribal movement of tribal in Tamilnadu) for their rights and the implementation of fifth scheduled in Tamilnadu.

Adivasi Development Initiatives

The Adivasi Development Initiatives has been started in the Aranuthu hills, for the development of the tribal especially women by strengthening the SHGs through trainings and exposures. And to ensure the tribal rights such as the land and the basic amenities for them, Gramma Shaba formation and ensuring their identity by getting community certificate has been implemented in this programme. In 13 villages of population 3500 people the ADI programme has been initiated. The tribal farmers are organized and capacitate them in organic farming with low cost input.
